Reach India Launches Three New Training Centers, More on the Way
Three new Reach India service centers are now operating and preparing to deliver Learning Conversations. These independently operated franchise service centers will provide low-cost training to local NGOs that serve self-help groups in their areas. The service centers will receive support and additional training to help them provide new services from the Reach India office in Kolkata. Freedom from Hunger is pleased to announce that nine additional service centers are scheduled for launch in the next 18 months. Accenture Development Partners, who supported the development of the business model for Reach India, recently completed assistance to Reach Mexico's (Alcance) business model and they are now helping to develop the model for Reach West Africa (Avonçons), which have features that respond to the market opportunities unique to those regions. Reach India is hosting a visit by key stakeholders in this initiative, including representatives from GlaxoSmithKline's Positive Action, in spring of 2007.
