Brigham Young University (BYU), Department of Health Science and the Marriott School of Management
BYU is a private university sponsored by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints that attracts students and faculty from diverse regions around the world.
Freedom from Hunger and BYU have worked together since 2003. Initially, we collaborated with the Department of Health Science to design and implement evaluations around public health issues such as malaria. Later, the partnership expanded to include the Marriot School of Management’s Business and Public Administration programs. Currently, all three groups are working with Freedom from Hunger on the desk review and market research for a new initiative in Ghana that motivates and equips women to deliver health protection products to their communities and educate consumers on their use. The Department of Health Sciences will also continue to work closely with us to design the evaluations for the Microfinance and Health Protection initiative in Benin, Bolivia, Burkina Faso, India and the Philippines.
