Freedom from Hunger Ghana

As a technical service provider, Freedom from Hunger Ghana provides training and technical assistance to ten rural banks in Ghana.  Specifically, it assists the rural banks with capacity-building and the delivery of Credit with Educationfacilitating access to lending capital, equipment and support staff; providing technical expertise on systems and methodology; and supplying initial oversight and ongoing learning and exchange.

Since 1992, Freedom from Hunger and Freedom from Hunger Ghana have worked together to extend the reach of Credit with Education.  Besides their support of the rural banks, Freedom from Hunger Ghana introduces other organizations to integrated services as requested.  They have also been willing partners in Freedom from Hunger initiatives.  For instance, several rural banks participated in the pilot phase of the Microfinance Against Malaria initiative and the subsequent impact study.  Currently, Freedom from Hunger Ghana is hosting and providing technical services to support an initiative to motivate and equip women to provide vital health protection products in their communities and educate consumers on their uses.
