For over 20 years, Global Learning Partners has provided “training and consulting services for organizations and individuals who work with adult learners.”  Global Learning Partners “teach and model a Dialogue Education Approach to adult learning that is based on the work of Dr. Jane Vella,” who in turn was inspired by the pioneering work of adult education theorists such as Paulo Freire, Malcolm Knowles, Kurt Lewin, and Benjamin Bloom.  More than 3,500 people in 60 countries have graduated from their courses.

Freedom from Hunger’s connection to Global Learning Partners founder Jane Vella goes back to 1990 with collaborative work in Ghana and Thailand.  Since then, several of our staff have completed the Global Learning Partners Master Teacher course and were designated Master Trainers, recognized by many in the field of adult education as a sign of mastery of the principles and practices of adult learning.  Freedom from Hunger and Global Learning Partners have formally worked together since 2000 to bring learner-centered education methodology and materials to Freedom from Hunger partners around the world.
