This report presents the results from the impact evaluation study of CRECER (Rural Credit with Education) programs. CRECER’s mission is to enhance food security and well-being of its clients, their families, and their communities by providing high quality, affordable financial and educational services primarily to women living in rural areas. The study was designed to test hypotheses of positive program impact on children’s nutritional status and on their mother’s economic capacity, empowerment, and adoption of key child survival/health practices. Evaluation research was conducted in 28 communities located in five provinces on the Altiplano in the Department of La Paz in Bolivia.
